Via Marty Lederman, the government's opening brief (PDF) in Hobby Lobby and the plaintiff's opening brief (PDF) in Conestoga. The government is the petitioner in Hobby Lobby and the Conestoga plaintiffs are the petitioners in their case.

Bone up as we will be discussing these issues during the week.

    on these cases, BTD. I find the issues extraordinarily complex and legally difficult under the standards of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which I generally support.

    ...at Jesus Tech High School (okay, that isn't its real name) in Orange County CA, who used to preach to us passionately that "Just because the Declaration of Independence said all men are created equal, doesn't mean God said it OR intended it for his creation!" He's manager of a Hobby Lobby now.
