Obama's Last Rally Live

President Obama's final campaign rally is in Des Moines, IA tonight, with Michelle Obama and Bruce Springsteen. It begins at 9:30 pm CT (10:30 ET, 8:30 MT). You can watch live here. Or on C-Span.

If you know any undecided voters, or any who are wobbling, send them the link. Instead of listening to pundits and pollsters, tell them to listen to the President. He makes his own best case. [More...]

Bruce is on now: "What I do for a living is I imagine America." First song: Land of Holy Dreams.

Update: Obama was really fired up. Here's a slideshow of pictures I made from screengrabs of the video. He mingled a long time with the crowd afterwards.

I will never forget his win and speech in the Iowa Caucuses in 2008.  Historic and breathtaking.

This country likes Obama and wants him to succeed.   Many will come back to him even if they thought about going elsewhere this time. There will be a strong emotional pull for his voters to come home.

freaking cold it was in Iowa that caucus week. I was still all-Hillary then so I didn't see him or Michelle there. Hillary and Bill and all the journos were at our hotel, so I didn't even wonder about him. I also went to some John Edwards events (a Mellencamp concert) where he and Elizabeth gave great speeches and talked about their great love, and to a house party for Mitt  In 2004, Obama came to a blogger breakfast at the DNC in Boston, there were about 15 of us. I don't remember much of what he said.  Obama has grown on me the past year, a lot. I am not one of those voting for him because I'm against Romney. I really admire him and think he is a good president.

A few of his accomplishments he didn't tout: He got crack-powder penalties down from 100 to 1 to 18:1 (not perfect, but better than nothing) and his deferral of deportation for young immigrants.

I also thing the Justice Dept AUSA's under Holder have become more reasonable since the Bush days. I shudder to think what a Romney change would bring.

Julian Castro would be great VP choice.  Her vast experience would let her pick the young Julian.

    But first things first....

Good to know about the change in sentencing... There are a lot of small changes that add up that may not get a lot of publicity.

over breakfast. Good way to start the day. Loved the story behind 'Fired up, ready to go'. I had never heard that.

Contrasting it with the canned emotion I heard from Mitt and Ann Romney via NPR. In fact, he seems to have stolen/faked Obama's 2008 campaign. Copland's 'Common Man' piece? Oh please. and then verged into a parody of himself....building a better tomorrow, tomorrow...right out of Stephen Colbert. I so hope never to have to listen to that cheese grater voice again.

It's also being carried on CSPAN (none / 0) (#2)
